About Budget & Finance

The Budget & Finance department is part of Financial Operations within the Division of Business & Financial Affairs at SDSU. Its primary role is to support the planning and management of the university’s budgets, including funding from the state, the lottery, and other designated sources. The department ensures that the university has the financial data and forecasting tools necessary to make informed decisions about resource allocation. It also develops and enforces policies to promote responsible spending and budget compliance. Additionally, Budget & Finance serves as a central resource for financial reports and information, and occasionally reviews budget matters related to university-affiliated organizations.
